On February 19, Alexey Yuryevich Sokhrannov, Director of SOVKABEL LLC, took part in a meeting of the Regional Investment Council, which was chaired by Mikhail Yuryevich Vedernikov, Governor of the Pskov Region.
The main task of the Council is to facilitate the implementation of the state investment policy and support projects implemented in the region. During the meeting, the participants discussed current initiatives and promising areas for the economic development of the Pskov Region.
Within the framework of the event, the investment project “Development of 6 and 10 kV power cable production”, implemented by SEVKABEL LLC with the support of the Pskov Region Investment Development Fund, was presented. The project provides for the purchase of a testing station for medium-voltage cable and wire products with ethylene propylene rubber insulation, as well as additional equipment. The total investment volume will exceed 60 million rubles. Currently, the company is waiting for the delivery of equipment and commissioning. Production is scheduled to reach full capacity in 2027.
The implementation of the project will make it possible to address a number of strategic tasks:
- Expand the sales market and strengthen the company’s position as one of the leading manufacturers of cable and wire products in the Northwestern region.
- Strengthen the industrial potential and investment attractiveness of the Pskov Region.
- To achieve a social effect by creating new jobs, preserving existing ones, and increasing tax revenues to the regional budget.
Governor of the Pskov Region Mikhail Yuryevich Vedernikov highly praised the company’s activities, emphasizing its significant contribution to the region’s economic development, and assured that the regional authorities are ready to provide comprehensive support for the further development of production.
